Subject: Cancellation of Event IDEAS-2010

1.    Defence Export Promotion Organization, on behalf of Ministry of Defence Production and Joint Services Headquarters of Pakistan, extend gratitude for your warm response and active participation in planning and preparatory phase of the Event. However, it is to inform that, in view of devastating floods that effected 22 million people and resulted in loss of valuable lives and property, Government of Pakistan has decided to cancel IDEAS-2010. It is therefore, requested that no further activities be undertaken in this regard.

2.    In view of the fact that the Event is conducted on biennial basis, next IDEAS shall be held in November-December 2012. In this backdrop, while appreciating your booking of space for IDEAS-2010, we propose that your consent is forwarded at the earliest for carrying forward or re-imbursement of already deposited booking charges/fee. In case carrying forward is opted, we assure to extend following advantages:-

           a.    Same advance shall be adjusted against booking of space for IDEAS-2012; revised rates shall not apply in this case.
           b.    Remaining amount on already agreed space charges be deposited by June 2012 for finalization of booking contract.

3.    Please be kind to forward your consent by 15 November 2010 for our further necessary action with reference to settlement of payment due to cancellation of IDEAS-2010.
