It is a matter of great pride for
DEPO to organize the 6th International Defence
Exhibition And Seminar “IDEAS-2010” on 6-10 Dec,
2010 at Karachi Expo Centre, Pakistan.
Tracing the journey from IDEAS-2000 to IDEAS-2010, the
platform has come a long way in gaining recognition and
admiration of participating countries. IDEAS has grown
in its outreach, participation and international
attendance to a magnitude that is unmatched in the
region. In addition, the profile of the high level
delegates visiting Pakistan to attend IDEAS has very few
parallels at any other defence exhibition in the world.
There are at present over 20 large scale public sector
defence product manufacturing units in Pakistan, while
over 100 smaller private firms are also engaged in the
production of various items of military use. IDEAS
ensures close linkage between local manufacturers and
foreign delegates and provides a platform for
interaction between foreign and indigenous manufacturers
leading to cooperation/joint venture and collaborations
that is mutually beneficial to both.
Having achieved well deserved acceptability and
prominence in international defence markets, IDEAS-2010
is poised to enhancing mutual understanding and
cooperation between the friendly nations jointly serving
world peace initiatives, an area where Pakistan
continues to play a leading role as frontline state in
the global war against terrorism.
To manage the Event in a more befitting manner, DEPO had
selected Pakistan’s # 1 and The Global Association
of Exhibition Industry (Paris – France) Ufi certified
Exhibition Organizer M/s Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan (Pvt)
Ltd as the Event Manager for IDEAS-2008. This proved
its worth, as a result IDEAS-2008 surpassed all previous
IDEAS in every aspect. Accordingly, Event Management of
IDEAS-2010 & 2012 was also awarded to Ecommerce Gateway;
DEPO looks forward to a much rewarding participation for
its esteemed Delegates, Exhibitors & Visitors alike in
IDEAS-2010.
IDEAS-2010 is expected to attract visitors/buyers from
more than 80 countries. I wish to extend a very warm
welcome and a very pleasant stay at Karachi to all the
foreign delegates, exhibitors and visitors during
IDEAS-2010. |
